Valley Oaks (VO) Chapter CDS
Meeting Minutes
Date: January 19, 2011

Meeting called to order @ 7:00pm
Members/Guests Present
Suzanne Breen, Linda P., Diana Taylor, Jenny Breen, Donna Holmes, Michele Vaughn, Cindy Luellen, Michelle Pappone-Beedy & Sandi Carlone.
Approval of Prior Minutes
Minutes from the last meeting were read. Correction was made to the prior minutes for Treasurer Report balance. Motion made to correct and approve by MV.
Treasurer’s Report
Current VO balance as of January 19th, 2011 is $2,686.95. Treasurer report approved by MV.
Old Business
Donna provided research information on a potential Pilates Clinic. It was decided that VO should look into a Group Session first and then a decision can be made if we want to hold a clinic on this topic.
Items for the VO Basket are needed tonight. Provide these to MV as she will put together the basket for the CDS Annual meeting. It was asked if anyone would be attending that was present at tonight’s meeting. No additional members present are attending besides MV. Connie Davenport has donated to our basket, a certificate for 2 Classes and 1 Stall to be redeemed at our VO show to be held in September.
New Business
Michelle P-B shared a “Thank You” note received from Connie Davenport for the help received by VO Members at her show. Michelle also mentioned that Connie Davenport is looking for volunteers for her 4 shows. Michelle P-B states she will be the volunteer coordinator in the event that any VO members want to volunteer. Michelle P-B will send an e-mail out to Valley Oaks members in regards to the show dates etc.
The 2011 Code of Conduct needs to be signed by the VO Board Members. VO Board Members see Michele V. on this.
An annual Treasurer Report and VO Chapter report are needed for the CDS Annual Meeting. Cindy will prepare the Chapter report & Michelle P-B will get the Treasurer Report to Michele V. to take to the CDS Annual meeting.
Planning for the September show: Possible Team Challenge class @ the Jr. Championship show? More discussion to take place on this at a later meeting.
February Meeting—For this meeting, we will gather @ Starr Vaughn Show Office to watch the USDF Video on the new tests. Pizza and salad will be provided. Meeting date is February 16th, eat @ 6:30pm, watch video @ 7:00pm. The costs for the video and pizza/salad will be paid for by VO Chapter. Approval: MV, second by DH.
VO members that volunteered at the USDF Adult Clinic need to complete the CDS Volunteer Waiver form and send into CDS. Note: the event date was November 20 & 21st, 2010.
CDS Year End Plates: CDS Plates for VO Members will be picked up at The CDS Annual Meeting by MV. She will distribute at our next VO Meeting.
VO Web Site: VO currently has a credit with our Web Site Manager of $110.00 which we will continue to use until down to zero and then decide if we want to renew with the same person.
Future VO Events/Clinics: VO Chapter should take pictures of our future events and submit them along with a write-up to CDS to qualify for awards.
Next meeting set for Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 : Location is Starr Vaughn Show Office. Come @ 6:30pm to have Pizza and Salad provided by VO Chapter. Meeting starts @ 7:00pm to watch the USDF New Tests Video.
