Valley Oaks (VO) Chapter CDS
Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order @ 7:39pm

Members/Guests Present

Cindy Luellen, Suzanne Breen, Beverly Stevens, Sandi Carlone, Patti Kremer, Heidi Chote, Donna Holmes, Michelle Pappone-Beedy, Kathie Sebastian, Michele Vaughn.           

 

Approval of Prior Minutes

Minutes from the last meeting were read.  Motion to approve by Cindy Luellen, second by Heidi Chote.

 

Treasurer’s Report

Current balance as of  Nov 19th, 2009 is $2,881.66.  Treasurer report approved by Kathie Sebastian, second by Cindy Luellen.

 

The issue was brought up of a rider who paid $100.00 towards the Seana Adamson seminar and ride, but called the morning of the seminar and was not able to make it.  After discussion amongst members present it was decided to charge for the seminar (cost $45.00) and refund the difference of $55.00 back to this individual.  Refund authorization motion made by Michele Vaughn & second by Cindy Luellen.

 

Old Business

Nominations:  Cindy received back 10 election vote forms. 

The Valley Oaks 2010 Board is as follows:

Chair: Michele Vaughn (10 votes)

Vice Chair: Donna Holmes (10 votes)

Secretary: Patty Kremer (9 votes)

Treasurer: Michelle Pappone-Beedy (10 votes)

 

New Business

Valley Oaks Clinic Expenses & Info:

The final expenses for our clinic shows a loss of $661.54 which we hope that the CDS Scholarship Committee will approve as a scholarship award.  However, this committee will not meet again until the CDS Annual Meeting in January.

Please e-mail to Suzanne Breen any comments on our clinic as we need to submit a follow up report as to how the clinic went.

 

We need a representative from Valley Oaks Chapter to attend the CDS Annual Meeting on January 23rd & 24th, 2010 held in Carmel, CA.  CDS will pay for travel & room.  If interested, let Michele Vaughn know.

 

Chapter Basket—We need to prepare a Chapter basket for the CDS Annual Meeting (Silent Auction).  After discussion, we came up with “Safety Basket” theme.  We all signed up to bring specific items to our next meeting for this basket.  Michele Vaughn has the list of items, contact her if you forget.

           

Next meeting set for Thursday, January 14th, 2010 @ 7:30pm, Fat Mike’s Pizza (Sheldon location).  Reminder to bring your items for the “Safety Basket”.
