Approval of Prior Minutes

Minutes from last meeting on Oct 21 were read.  Motion to approve minutes by Michele Vaughn, second by Donna Holmes.  Motion passed. 

Treasurer’s Report

Beginning Balance:                                   $ 2,865.20

Ending Balance:                                   $ 2,865.20

Clinician never cashed the $55.00 check.  Treasurer will add it back into account in January.  Michele Vaughn moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Donna Holmes seconded the motion.

VO Annual Educational Event – Pilates Clinic

• No proposal has been received yet. 
• We will decide at November meeting if we need to consider an alternate event.

Charlotte Bredahl Clinic

• Clinic - Nov 20-21 at SVE
• About 60 people signed up for Saturday and 36 for Sunday
• Friday night- practice session – riders only.

CDS Annual Meeting

• January 21-23 in Long Beach on the Queen Mary
• Looking for member to attend in addition to Michele V.  AirFare and entrance to meeting is paid.  Member pays hotel.
• Michele Vaughn will be going as a Board member.

Basket for the Annual Meeting

• Theme will be to support our September Show at Rancho Murietta
• Free stall for whole competition
• 10 shavings
• Members will provide “show items” for the basket - bring to SVE prior to January meeting.  Some commitments were:

·         In 2011, meetings will be held on the 3^rd Wednesday of each month

• Reminder:  Sept 23-25 in conjunction with Juniors
• We expect a lot of amateurs

USDF Adult Regional Team Competition

·         Chapter is interested

·         Michele will consider pricing and will get back to chapter

Adult Amateur Clinic North

·         Will be May 21-22 in Santa Rosa (arrive Friday, May 20)

·         Will send check to Diana Muravez to hold VOs spot at clinic

RAAC

·         2011 already set – SF Chapter in Woodside

·         Grand Prix and I2 will not be added

2011 USDF Convention

·         San Diego in Dec 2011

·         Can attend as a voting member

February 2011 meeting – possible ideas for speaker – New tests

• Only 3 tests per level
• See if we can get 2 trainers or judges to talk about the tests of buy video of new tests and play it at Feb meeting
• Michele Vaughn moved to buy educational DVD for VO library – USDF How to Ride the Tests
• Discuss in January along with meeting location
• We might need to break this into two meetings

Pilates Proposal

• Donna received proposal
• Still need 220 power and level area
• Donna to contact them and get down to the “real costs”
• Could we rent a room at CalFit with 220 power?
• Donna to get answers to proposal and costs
