Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Michele Vaughn.

Approval of Prior Minutes

Minutes from last meeting were read.  Motion to approve amended minutes by Michele Vaughn, second by Donna Holmes.  Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report

Beginning Balance:                          $2,628.66

CDS Jr Rider:                         225.00  Payment

CDS Club 100                           100.00   Payment

CDS Scholarship fund                     661.54  Deposit

Ending Balance:                          $ 2,965.20

Bank used to be Guarantee Bank but is now renamed BBVA Compass Bank.

Michele V. moved to approved the report and Donna Holmes seconded.  Motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS

June CDI Volunteer

·         June 17 – 20 at Rancho Murietta  (CDI is June 18 – 19, Breed show June 20)

·         VOs Chapter will help with the breed show – Michelle Beedy to coordinate

·         We will move June meeting to June 10 in order to coordinate volunteers for the show

Debbie McDonald Clinic – Adult Amateur Clinic

·         Michele Dodge is representing VOs with her 4 year old

·         Rides are 9:00 Friday and 1:45 Saturday

Charlotte Bredahl Clinic

·         Nov 20-21 at Starr Vaughn Equestrian

·         CDS sent out an email on the clinic

·         Interested members need to apply to USDF

·         Michelle Beedy might be interested in applying

RAAC 2011

·         VO is interested in hosting the RAAC in 2011

·         Susie Wren will chair committee

·         Consider also hosting the USDF Adult team competition

·         Susie will handle the application process

VO Annual Educational Event

·         Still looking for a clinician. 

·         Michele Vaughn will contact Charlotte Bredahl about a long-line clinic as a possible “tag-on” to the November clinic.

NEW BUSINESS

New Dressage Tests

·         New Dressage tests will be published in December

·         New tests will be filmed on July 6-7 at SVE.  Intro to 4^th Level

·         Gary Rockwell and Lilo Fore

·         DVDs will be available for purchase

·         Michele Vaughn looking for volunteers to help

Promoting Sport Horse Shows

·         VO is supportive of promoting sport horse shows. 

·         For 2011 – IBC

New Member introduction

·         Kristy Walden has joined VO Chapter.  She is riding Intro and Training level with trainer Donna Holmes.

Fundraiser  CDI

·         How to get more sponsorship of classes

o        Barn challenge

o        Try to get barns to contribute $10 per person per barn

o        Winning barn gets mention in program

o        Susie Wren will be chair on this and will come up with a flyer to circulate

Sponsoring Adult Amateur Class

·         Patti Kremer moved to sponsor a class for $100

·         Michele Vaughn seconded
