Approval of Prior Minutes
Minutes from last meeting on July 23 were read. Motion to approve minutes by Michelle Pappone-Beedy, second by Donna Holmes. Motion passed. No minutes from August as we had a “by-month” with no meeting scheduled.
Treasurer’s Report
Beginning Balance: $ 2,865.20
Ending Balance: $ 2,865.20
Michele Vaughn moved to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Donna Holmes seconded the motion.
OLD BUSINESS
Report on 2010 RAAC
· SVE last weekend of July
· Michelle Pappone-Beedy and Michele Dodge both competed.
· Some members from VO Chapter volunteered to work.
2011 RAAC
· SoCal – will be with San Diego Chapter at Del Mar – Aug 13-14
· Central – San Luis Obispo Chapter at Paso Robles – Sept 3-4
· North – San Francisco Chapter at Woodside – July 14-17
o This will be a RAAC plus open show
VO Annual Educational Event
· Donna Holmes will ask Megan & Colleen to do a proposal – must include facility requirements such as size, flooring, power, etc.
· Fundraiser for VO Chapter
· Colleen encouraging a joint event with another chapter
· Need to get application for scholarship in early if we want to do this
· Timing – Beginning of March
o Clinic to be held beginning of March
Charlotte Bredahl Clinic
· Riders who applied will be contacted by Oct 15 – 3 from VO have applied
· Clinic - Nov 20-21 at SVE
· Volunteers contact Michele Vaughn
· VO will be doing hospitality
· Lunch will be provided by Panera again
NEW BUSINESS
2011 CDS Adult Amateur Clinic
· Donna Richardson will be instructor
· South – in March at Kathy Pavlich’s place
· Central – Paso Robles on Mar 24-27
o Friday night meeting
o Sat/Sun Clinic
· North – Santa Rosa Equestrian Center – May 19 - 22
CDS Annual Meeting
· January 21-23 in Long Beach on the Queen Mary
· AirFare and entrance to meeting is paid. Member pays hotel.
· Michele Vaughn will be going as a Board member.
· We can also have a chapter representative if someone wants to go.
Talent Search
· 3rd level + riders and horses sought
· Horse can’t be over 14 yrs
· Developing with Debbie McDonald
· Need to be USDF member

USDF Convention
· 1st week of December 2011
· Good convention to attend
· 2012 convention will be held in New Orleans
There will be no Trainers Conference in 2011
NAJYRC
· Qualifications have changed – go online to see
Jr. Championships
· Michele Vaughn taking over from Mary Schroeder
· New date – Sept 23-25 Rancho Murrieta (3 days)
· Indoor and big arena next to indoor
· Planning:
o DJ and Dance
o Pancake Breakfast
o Golf outing – RM
o Online auction
o Focus on socializing
· Will also hold level 3 Star Show the same weekend
· Valley Oaks can sponsor one arena
· Michele V applied for license
· Trainers of Jr. can also bring Amateurs
· Benefit for Juniors - Try to pull volunteers from local area
· Gives riders chance to ride at RM before Championship
· Possible opportunity classes
· Volunteers – need 15 – 16 per day
· Michelle Pappone Beedy moved that we have the benefit show for Jr. Championships. Donna Holmes Seconded the motion.

· Are now available on the USEF site.
2012 RAAC
· Susie Wren suggested we start planning for it soon if we want to apply
