Valley Oaks (VO) Chapter CDS Meeting Minutes Date: January 8th, 2009 Location: Fat Mike’s Pizza
Meeting called to order @ 7:30pm by Michele Vaughn, Chapter Chair
Members/Guests Present Michelle Pappone-Beedy, Heidi Chote, Kalli Bowles, Michele Vaughn, Cindy Luellen, Sandi Carlone, Bev Stevens and Suzanne Breen
Approval of Prior Minutes Minutes from the last meeting were read and approved by Michelle Beedy (1st) and Michele Vaughn (2nd).
Treasurer’s Report Balance as of 12/23/08 = $4,249.50 Bills presented: need to send ck for $150.00 to Bobby Keville for the Adult Amateur Clinic. Need to send $40.00 to Kathy Sebastian as refund from the VO RAAC Clinic (Kathy was unable to attend due to illness). The VO Chapter also has a credit of $85.00 for future Web site maintenance charges. VO initially paid out $200.00 as a deposit to the Web Site master (charges of $115.00 to date have been incurred). The approval to pay out the bills ($150.00 + $40.00) was made by Michele Vaughn & second motion made by Cindy Luellen.
Old Business CDS Adult Amateur Clinc: The bio from interested VO (AA) members are needed by the next meeting (Feb 19th). So far, two members have submitted applications (Michelle Pappone-Beedy and Anne Tudesko.
New Business Kalli Bowles will be the VO rep going to the CDS Annual Meeting and giving the VO Chapter Report. The CDS Annual Meeting will be held at the Burbank Marriott Hotel.
The final budget report from Valley Oaks on the RAAC Clinic was provided to CDS as part of their requirement with the scholarship award. The end result was a loss of $4.60 after all income and expenses were factored.
The Golden State Dressage Show held in January needs scribes. Contact Connie Davenport if interested.
We discussed holding a Chapter Schooling show (not rated) for a tentative date of June 7th (Sunday) at Starr Vaughn. Possible judge is: Sharon Marshall. We will need to obtain insurance for this show.
We also discussed planning some type of educational event put on by our Chapter. Bring your ideas to the next meeting. Michele Vaughn will check with the Sports Psychologist who did the USDF clinic & Suzanne Breen will check with Seana Adamson for info about a possible clinic.
Reminder: Valley Oak Adult Amateurs need to submit their bio at the next meeting to be considered for the CDS AA clinic. The name will be drawn at our next meeting.
Next meeting set for Feb 19th @ 7:30pm at Fat Mike’s Pizza (Sheldon location).
