Meeting called to order @ 7:30pm

Approval of Prior Minutes

Minutes from the last meeting were read.  Motion to approve by Cindy Luellen & Kathie Sebastian

 

Treasurer’s Report

Balance as of April 30th, 2009 = $3,859.50

Old Business

Received copy of the 2007 Schooling Show Expense form to use as a guide in the event we decide to hold schooling show for 2010 year.

 

CDS Plates: postponed to next meeting.

Code of conduct forms—passed out to Board Members present who have not yet signed.

 

New Business

Valley Oaks received pmt of $500.00 for volunteer work done at the CDI show by VO members.It was suggested that we donate the check of $500.00 to the CDS North Jr Championship Show.  All members present agreed to this.  Cindy will write letter to Mary Schaeffer, Michelle Pappone-Beedy to mail off letter with the check.

 

Omnibus: need to get our info in to CDS by August 28th to be included in next years Omnibus

 

We have a CDS Volunteer form now.  This form is to be completed by VO members volunteering at our chapter events.

 

Adult Amateur Clinic: Michelle Pappone-Beedy gave a presentation on her experiences as being the chosen Adult Amateur to attend the Jane Weatherwax clinic.  The owners of the location are wonderful people who made you feel welcome and opened up their whole facility.  Bobby Keville was well organized.  Participants were supportive of each other.  Jane made it an easy going atmosphere for learning.  “What I learned?...opening up in the canter and feeling the freedom.  I was conservative before and probably held my horse back not allowing the freedom of the canter to come through.”

 

Any ideas as to how to make Jr. Championship Show (CDS North) more fun?  Possible activities?

           

Next meeting set for Thursday, May 21st @ 7:30pm at Fat Mike’s Pizza (Sheldon location).
