Debbie McDonald Clinic

May 28 – 30 in Santa Rosa

Michele V. received great feedback on last clinic that Debbie did.

VO discussed that we need to have a clear chapter statement that the participants from VO who attend any CDS or USDF clinic agree not to bring a horse with any lameness issues.

Eligibility for Adult Amateur Clinic

Volunteer hours required during the prior calendar year

Attend at least one meeting per year

Holding an office qualifies as volunteer hours if the officer attends meetings

CDS rule – if you ride one year, you can only be eligible for "reserve" the following year.

Chapters don’t have to send someone. If there are any openings from other chapters, then you can send in an application to go.

CDI Show in April – Volunteers were missing

Cindy Luellen was the only volunteer who showed up.

Our chapter committed to helping out. It seems like only amateurs consider doing volunteer work. What about the rest of the club? It’s a fund raiser for the chapter.

Patti K - Going forward, we need to have a formal sign-up sheet and a set time to show up.

.Heidi C. – Need to have an assigned team leader. Team leader can coordinate times and activities with Connie.

Incentives – CDI

o Juniors – test runners half day. We might sponsor them in a clinic.

o Professionals – harder to incent. Cindy L – we should volunteer because it is the right thing to do to support the organization.

We can decide at April Meeting
