Valley Oaks (VO) Chapter CDS

Meeting called to order @ 7:36pm

Members/Guests Present

Donna Holmes, Cindy Luellen, Beverly Stevens, Michelle Pappone-Beedy, Heidi Chote, Erin Velguth, Suzanne Breen, Diana Taylor, Michele Vaughn, Genay Vaughn.           

 

Approval of Prior Minutes

Minutes from the last meeting were read.  Motion to approve by Michele Vaughn, 2nd by Cindy Luellen.

 

Treasurer’s Report

Check for $200.00 written to Valley Oaks member Genay Vaughn for assistance with the NAJRYR Competition costs (June 2009).  This was approved by Cindy L., Kathie S. and Michelle P-B. This brings the new balance to $3,659.50.  Treasurer report corrected.

Approval of correction by Cindy L. & Michele V.

Balance as of August 4th, 2009 = $3,659.50

 

Old Business

Costs for advertising in CDS Letters: $150.00 for ½ page ad or $100.00 for ¼ page ad.  These prices include a discount by CDS for advertising a Chapter sponsored event.

 

New Business

Approval made to advertise our Seana Adamson clinic in the September issue of CDS letters (1/2 page ad) for

Cost of $150.00 (motion by Cindy L, 2nd by Michele V).  Suzanne will e-mail Paula Langan @ CDS to let her know to place ad in September issue.

Approval made to place a Valley Oaks Chapter ad in the CDS Omnibus for the 2010 year (motion by Michele V & Cindy L).

Approval made to hold Peggy Klump clinic Oct 23rd & 24th, 2010.  This is an event sponsored by Valley Oaks Chapter and mention of this clinic will be in the Valley Oaks Chapter ad to be placed in the CDS Omnibus for 2010 year. (motion by Michele V & Cindy L).

How about a “Summer” issue newsletter for VO Chapter web site?  Michele V will contact Michelle Dodge to see about getting this together.

Domain Name issue---tabled until next meeting.

Jan Ebeling will doing the USDF JR/YR Clinic on Sept 12th & 13th at Starr Vaughn Facility.

Genay Vaughn gave VO Chapter a Thank You card with a nice personal note for the $200.00 towards NAJRYR competition costs.  She also told of her experiences at competing in this event.  She mentioned the payment helped cover the cost of her horse being cared for by another JR/YR due to Genay & her mom missing the first flight and the horse arriving at the event way before they could get there.

           

Next meeting set for Thursday, Sept 17th @ 7:30pm, Fat Mike’s Pizza (Sheldon location).
